On October 19th, The Portfolio Strategy Group was a proud sponsor of the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Westchester walk.
When planning PSG’s annual charitable initiatives, our goals were clear:
We quickly recognized that Breast Cancer has touched each of us in some way, uniting us in our support for the advancement of a cure. Some of us have lost grandmothers or friends to the disease, while others have supported friends through their treatment journey or face the anxiety of family history at each annual screening.

Last Sunday, the PSG team joined more than 20,000 participants to walk over 3 miles in support of survivors, in honor of those we lost, and in solidarity with those still fighting.
Last week, as we reflected on the walk, we were inspired by the strength and positivity of women and families undergoing treatment, and moved by the joy of survivors waving their pink pom poms in celebration of treatment advancements to-date. Our collective sense of connection, compassion, and gratitude has stayed with us.
Breast Cancer will directly touch 13% of women, and many men as well. As Breast Cancer Awareness month comes to a close, we are reminded that the mission doesn’t end here. The fight for awareness, early detection, and support continues every day.
